Description
The project consists of, and is not limited to, furnishing all materials, labor, services, supervision, tools, equipment, including all associated permits, and all other items necessary for the successful completion of the project, which shall include the replacement of the existing emergency generator and fire pump for the REG Courthouse. All work will need to be completed after business hours. The purpose of this project is to upgrade and replace the emergency generator and fire pump of the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building. To include the fire pump controller and associated equipment and supporting panels. The existing operation of the Facility must be maintained during construction. Contractor is responsible for coordinating access and construction activities to avoid any interruption to the operation of the REG Courthouse. Contractor to coordinate with County personnel to turn over existing generator to County Utilities Manager. Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Visit: A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING AND SITE VISIT ARE SCHEDULED. It is highly recommended that Bidders interested in attending the Meeting and Site Visit pre-register by emailing [email protected] (copy [email protected] ). Bidder must submit a completed, notarized Confidentiality Affidavit in order to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Visit - form provided in the Bid Documents ( [email protected] , copy [email protected] ). When and if available a County staff notary will be on site to provide notary services. In the event the staff notary is unavailable on site, it remains the Bidder’s responsibility to provide notarized Confidentiality Affidavit. Bidders who have not submitted a Confidentiality Affidavit will be requested to leave the Meeting and Site Visit. Meet at REG Justice Center, 1351 NW 12th Street, Miami, FL 33125 (Main Lobby). Bidders must allow sufficient time before MEETING/SITE VISIT to sign in and clear Security check. Late attendees WILL NOT be accepted once the Pre-Bid Meeting starts. Requests for Information (RFIs): All requests for information (RFIs) shall comply with the Cone of Silence, Administrative Order 3-27 and shall be emailed to [email protected] with a copy to [email protected] and [email protected] . The deadline to receive RFIs from bidders is no later than 2 PM on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Responses cannot be guaranteed for RFIs submitted past the established deadline. Procedural questions may be entertained by phone or during the Pre-Bid Meeting. Required Experience/Qualifications: The lowest, responsive bidder is required, after Bid Opening and within three (3) business days of County’s written request, to provide the Bidder’s references for projects that are representative of the general scope of work which is currently being advertised, of equal or greater value, and that demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of experience and/or completed a minimum of three (3) similar projects. In accordance with Resolution R-1122-21, the experience of the Bidder’s key personnel or Bidder’s proposed subcontractor will be considered in assessing whether the Bidder complies with this solicitation’s minimum experience or completed project requirement. References must include the following information: 1) a description of scope of work performed; 2) project address; 3) name and title of Bidder’s key personnel assigned to that project; and, 4) client contact information: name, address, phone number, email address, project cost, and project start and completion dates Bid Opening: The Bid Opening associated with this solicitation will be conducted via Zoom immediately after the 2 PM Bid Deadline.
