Description
Request for Information (RFI) 26-86786 Healthy Families Indiana (HFI) is a voluntary multi-faceted home visitation program designed to promote healthy families and children through services which include child development, access to health care, parent education, family incentives, staff training, and community coordination and education. The program model includes screenings, assessment, and home visiting activities that begin for eligible families either prenatally or at the time of birth. The goal of HFI is to promote healthy families and children to help prevent child abuse through intensive early intervention services to families who have been identified at-risk and who voluntarily participate in home visitation services with trained providers. DCS’ existing HFI contracts expire 9/30/26. Prior to releasing a competitive procurement for these services in April 2026, DCS would like to issue an RFI to gather information from the provider community to help inform RFP development.

The Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) is releasing a Request for Information (RFI) for the Healthy Families Indiana (HFI) program aimed at promoting healthy families through voluntary home visitation services. The existing HFI contracts will expire on September 30, 2026, and this RFI is a crucial step to gather insights for the upcoming competitive procurement to be released in April 2026. Providers are encouraged to participate to share their capabilities in delivering child development, health access, parent education, and more.
