Description
NOTE: THIS AMENDMENT IS ISSUED SOLELY TO ADDRESS SOLICITATION QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS, WITH NO OTHER CHANGES TO THE SOLICITATION.
The 100th Force Support Squadron (FSS) at Royal Air Force (RAF) Mildenhall and the 48th Force Support Squadron (FSS) at RAF Lakenheath have a requirement to establish a single, UK-wide Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for comprehensive mortuary affairs support services. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, transportation, equipment, and materials to ensure the timely and dignified handling of human remains in strict compliance with all applicable United Kingdom (UK) laws. The services must be available on a 24/7 on-call basis. The core of this requirement is the collection and transportation of remains from any location on the UK mainland. This includes all minimum preparations and legal paperwork. The contractor will be required to provide a tiered pricing structure for transportation services based on distance:
- Within a 30-mile radius
- Between 30-150 mile radius
- Outside 150 mile radius
In addition to direct transportation to the military installation, the contractor must be capable of transporting
remains to its own licensed facility for interim holding. This capability must include providing secure,
refrigerated (non-frozen) storage for a period of up to 30 days. Following storage, the contractor shall provide onward transportation from their facility to RAF Mildenhall or RAF Lakenheath as directed.
