RM Smith Center Rocky’s Renovation Project
Slippery Rock University, of the PA State System of Higher Education invites
Contractors to download bid documents for this project.
Work included under this Project consists of replacement of existing food service equipment that has exceeded its service life with new equipment serving the same or similar function. Minor architectural renovations and engineering infrastructure upgrades are required as a result of these
replacements.
Work for the Project shall be accomplished by Separate Prime Contractors according to Pennsylvania statute. The Lead Prime Contractor shall be the General Construction Contractor. Specific instructions for coordination and responsibilities of the Lead Prime Contractor are contained in Section 0131000, Project Management and Coordination, and elsewhere throughout the Contract Documents
Work shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment and performing all work necessary to complete all Construction to the satisfaction of the University, and subject to approval of the Professional and State System of Higher Education.
A Pre-bid conference, with site visit to follow, will be held on May 13, 2026, at 2PM, in the Maintenance Center Conference Room, 100 Building & Grounds Road, Slippery Rock PA, 16057. The pre-bid meeting is not mandatory but highly recommended.
Electronic Bids are due no later than 2:00 PM, EST on June 3, 2026, through PennBid located at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com.
The Bid package is available at no cost via PennBid at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/ In order to submit a proposal, interested bidders need to register with PennBid.
