Description
The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to solicit bids from Vendors that have been pre-qualified in accordance with “Traffic Data Collection” (Discipline Code 309) for the collection of traffic data for the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Transportation Mobility and Safety Division. Vendors shall also be prequalified in Discipline Code 551 “Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Operator” prior to conducting any aerial video work. This data is used by a wide variety of business units in NCDOT for project development, safety and mobility initiatives, planning, and forecasting in connection with the planning, operations, design, maintenance, repair, and construction of transportation infrastructure. The work in general will consist of collecting site information and traffic data for each location to include vehicle turning movement, volume/speed/class, and other data types as indicated in the Scope of Work. Most work will have a two (2) week deadline, but some deadlines may be longer or shorter depending on the type of traffic data collected, and/or the sensitivity of the specific request. Deliverables will generally consist of a summary of site information, a summary of weather conditions, maps, pictures, tabulated and summarized traffic data, and, in some cases, video.
