State responses to questions and comments below amend and clarify this ITB . Any restatement of ITB text in the Question/Comments shall NOT be construed as a change in the actual wording of the ITB document. ITB SECTION PAGE # QUESTION / COMMENT STATE RESPONSE 1. If a bid was submitted prior to receiving responses to questions and comments and updates Specifications, can our bid be revised based on those changes? Yes, you may submit a revised bid. 2. We were unable to attend the site visit. Were there any changes to the spec ifications or the expectations set forth by the event details posted online. Would it be better for me to contact the hatchery manager as listed on the specs with this question? All questions and/or changes resulting from the site visit will be officially answered in this Questions and Comments Amendment. All changes to the Specifications will be highlighted and updated in Edison on the ITB posting. E.6. 2 3. If the pipe is not the same depth for its entire length, variations would be expected. See updated Specification E.6. 4. Is there a construction cost estimate or budget associated with this project that you can provide? $129,500.00 5. Could you please share the clear drawing details for Fiberglass Grating ? There should not be any grating. 6. Are there any Union Labor requirements to this contract? No, there is not a union labor requirement . 7. Is there an engineer's estimate or budget/range for this project? $127,500.00 to 135,000.00 8. Will the list of attendees to the site visit be posted to the web site? The list of attendees will not be posted to the website, but it will become part of the procurement file, which will be available through a Public Records Request. 9. There does not appear to be any specialty fabricated components for the project. Please clarify the intent of the requirement for shop drawings for the job as noted in Specifications D.5. Is this requirement to submit product data for the ductile iron pipe , See updated Specifications. See Section F. Special Considerations. Special Considerations F.1.b - what thickness of road base is required? See updated Specifications Sections E & F.1. 11. Special Considerations F.1.c – what is the duration required for this item? See Specifications F.1.g. 12. Will the contractor be allowed to close the County Road for the duration of the road crossing from the road demolition thru final curing of the new replacement concrete? See updated Specifications. See Section F. Special Considerations. 13. What traffic control will be required for the road crossing? See updated Specifications. See Section F. Special Considerations. 14. Special Considerations F.2.b – please provide details of the required pipe supports. See Appendix B. 15. Special Considerations F.2.a – does the State want these joints to be restrained with mega -lugs or similar restraining system? See Appendix B. 16. In regards to line 8 of the project details laid out in the specs: Installation of a discharge, overflow, or bypass structure upstream of the tie- in to the existing metal pipe. This will allow flow to be diverted to the stream if repairs to the line are needed in the future. Are there any drawings or specific specifications for how this is to be done or what materials are to be used? See updated Specification E.9. 17. Can we obtain approval for removing trees from that area to access the space needed? TWRA grants approval to the contractor to remov e trees from that area to access the space needed . 18. This SDR -35 pipe was purchased in 2023, it’s been out of the rain , but the seals on the ends of the pipe have been exposed to sunlight . Are they expected to hold responsibility for this pipe? Specifications, Section G. “Warranty” has been removed. 19. Is there a Bid Bond? No, there isn’t a Bid Bond . 20. Are there Liquidated Damages? No, there aren’t Liquidated Damages. 2. Delete ITB # 32801- 13898 , in its entirety, and replace it with ITB # 32801- 13898, Release #2. Revisions of the original ITB document are emphasized within the new release. Any sentence or paragraph containing revised or new text is highlighted. 3. ITB Amendment Effective Date. The revisions set forth herein shall be effective upon release. All other terms and conditions of this ITB not expressly amended herein shall remain in full force and effect.
