All submissions must be submitted in OpenBids (formerly DemandStar)The intent and purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit, through competitive negotiation, qualified Contractor(s) to provide all required services pertaining to the installation of playground equipment at two new Williamsburg-James City County Schools Bright Beginnings pre-K Centers to include the design, furnishing, equipment installation, and surfacing of the play area. The resulting Contract(s) will result in ten (10) new play areas, five (5) for each new pre-K center with construction completed no later than June 4, 2027.Questions pertaining to this project should be emailed to: Kendra.Law@jamescitycountyva.gov no later than 2:00 PM EST, Friday, April 24, 2026Pre-Bid Meeting- Wednesday, April 22, 2026. (TIME TBD via Addenda) The meeting is NOT mandatory. An introduction and Q&A held at the onsite construction trailer of the South Campus at 3127 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185. A post meeting walk to the construction site will be offered, but participants must bring close-toed shoes, reflective vests and hard hats. Access will be denied to those non-compliant.
