Forks Industrial Park PUD Electrical Extension Trenching, Boring & Backfill Project Questions Q: Is a single 3” conduit the only pipe required to be installed or is there a casing required per Exhibit B. If casing is required than what size, quantity and type of casing material? A: PUD does not require a casing, only a depth of 5 feet minimum. As for the count of conduits, it would be 3 separate 3” conduits (unless City of Forks decides to go with 6 for a future feed). Q: Need information for local rock source & disposal sites? A: A local source of rock would be the ICI Old Smokey Pit in Forks (866 La Push Rd, Forks, WA 98331; 360-708-8234) & Snider Rock Quarry (213 E. Snider Rd, Port Angeles, WA 98363; 3260-452-5388. These are the only two within 25 miles of Forks. The City of Forks has a site near the project site where asphalt could be disposed of. Q: What size casing is required and do the (3) 3 inch conduits need a casing spacer or are we to bind together in a triangle formation and send through loose? A: PUD does not need a casing and they can send the 3 conduits through, loose. Q: Can you send the plan set? A: The City of Forks does not have a plan set for this project.
